Tuition at colleges and universities continues to rise, students and their families are often left with significant financial hardship to overcome. To help give back, Higher Education Digest magazine is proud to be among the many others that offer scholarships to students. Higher Education Digest is sponsoring an annual $1,500 college scholarship essay contest for aspiring and current college student in an accredited college or university.

The 2021 Higher Education Digest Scholarship Essay Contest details and how to apply are below.

Scholarship Award

Total Scholarship money of $1,500 to be used toward college tuition.

Winner will get scholarship money of $700 or equivalent, 1st runner up will get scholarship money of $500 or equivalent and the 2nd runner up will get scholarship money of $300 or equivalent.

There is NO ENTRY FEE to participate in this Scholarship Essay Contest

Certificate for Top 10 Finalists

Certificate of recognition will be given to Top 10 Finalists and their name and photographs will be published in Higher Education Digest platform along with their essays.

Scholarship Submission Deadline

The submission deadline is July 1st, 2021. Winners and Top 10 Finalists will be contacted and officially announced on August 1st, 2021 in Higher Education Digest platform and its popular Facebook Page.

Requirements to Apply for Scholarship

To qualify for the Higher Education Digest scholarship, you must be an aspiring (2021) or current college student in an accredited college or university  and must participate in our essay competition outlined below. The winner’s and runner ups scholarship money will be sent directly to the student’s college/university of choice.

How to Apply for Higher Education Digest Scholarship

Participants should choose one of the topics mentioned below and write an essay of 1000 to 1500 words. The write-up can have images as well as supporting graphics if required to make it look better and meaningful. The essay must be original and not published online or offline elsewhere. The essay should be well structured with creative titles and subtitles.

You will need to submit your essay along with your full name, contact details, the college that you’re currently attending or have applied to, current year in college and what field of study you’re interested in or are currently studying.

Participants can refer articles listed in the reference page (click here) below their selected topic and creative use of data/information/opinions mentioned in the reference articles will get additional points during the evaluation process.

Applicants will gain consideration for clearly well-researched material from a variety of reputable online and offline sources. Winners are likely to be those who have shown good research, rather than producing an off the cuff piece. Do your best to include a good introduction to hook the reader make them want to read more.

Selection Process

Higher Education Digest Scholarship applications will be evaluated by our Expert Committee and the decision of the committee will be final.

Disclaimer

Only one winner, 2 runner ups and Top 10 Finalists will be selected. In the event that the winner and runner ups fail to respond to the notification within 7 working days, the winner’s and runner up’s prize will be forfeited and a new winner and runner ups will be selected.

The prize will be issued in the name of an accredited college or university of a winner’s and runner ups choice and can be used towards any fees and/or expenses associated with the winner’s and runner ups education.
